الحصار وعام الحزن

مرت على النبي ﷺ وأصحابه سنوات صعبة، ثم فقد أشخاصًا كانوا قريبين منه. كيف استمر في دعوته؟

واجه بنو هاشم ومن معهم حصارًا من قريش، فمرت عليهم أيام صعبة. ثم انتهى الحصار، لكن بعده بوقت قريب توفي أبو طالب، عم النبي ﷺ الذي كان يحميه في مكة.

ثم توفيت خديجة رضي الله عنها، زوجة النبي ﷺ وأول من آمن به. كان فقدهما حدثًا كبيرًا في حياته، ولذلك عُرفت تلك السنة بعام الحزن في كتب السيرة.

لم تنته الدعوة عند الصعوبات. استمر النبي ﷺ في تبليغ الرسالة، وثبت المسلمون معه. في السيرة أيام فرح وأيام شدة، وفي كل يوم يظل الرجوع إلى الله والصبر على الخير طريقًا للمؤمن.

عند الحزن نلجأ إلى الله ونبقى قريبين ممن يحبوننا.

مر النبي ﷺ بحصار، ثم فقد أبا طالب وخديجة رضي الله عنها في عام عُرف بعام الحزن.

من الشخص الآمن الذي تستطيع أن تتحدث معه إذا حزنت؟

قل دعاءً طيبًا لمن تحب، وقدم دعمًا بسيطًا لشخص يبدو حزينًا.

The Unjust Siege and the Year of Sorrow

Quraysh agreed to boycott the Prophet (pbuh) and everyone who stood with him, writing an unjust document and hanging it in the Kaaba. The Muslims lived in a narrow valley between the mountains for three years, until they ate the leaves of trees from hunger. Then honourable men tore the document up and the siege ended. Shortly after, Lady Khadijah died, and so did Abu Talib — which is why that year is called the Year of Sorrow.

However long injustice lasts, it does not last forever.

The tribes of Quraysh agreed to boycott the Prophet (pbuh) and everyone who supported him. They wrote an unjust document and hung it inside the Kaaba, forbidding marriage or trade with them. The Muslims were forced to live in a narrow valley between the mountains called the Valley of Abu Talib for three years, until they ate the leaves of trees from sheer hunger. Then Allah relieved them: honourable men of Quraysh rose and tore the document up, and the siege ended. But shortly after came something heavier still — the great Lady Khadijah died, and so did Abu Talib, the uncle who had defended him. That year is called the Year of Sorrow.

Allah teaches him patience: ﴿وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ﴾ — “Be patient, and your patience is only through Allah.”
