بينما كان النبي ﷺ يمشي يوماً سمع صوتاً من السماء، فرفع رأسه فرأى جبريل عليه السلام بين السماء والأرض. فرجع إلى بيته مسرعاً وهو يقول: «دثّروني دثّروني» أي غطّوني. وهو في فراشه نزل عليه جبريل بآيات تأمره أن يقوم ويترك الراحة، ويدعو الناس إلى عبادة الله وحده.
حين يكون هناك عمل مهم، نترك الراحة ونقوم.
بينما كان النبي ﷺ يمشي يوماً سمع صوتاً من السماء، فرفع رأسه فرأى المَلَك جبريل عليه السلام جالساً على كرسي عظيم بين السماء والأرض. ومن شدة هيبة الموقف عاد النبي ﷺ مسرعاً إلى بيته وهو يرتجف ويقول: «دثّروني دثّروني»، أي غطّوني بالثياب. وبينما هو متغطٍّ في فراشه نزل عليه جبريل بآيات قوية تأمره أن يترك الغطاء والراحة، وأن يقوم فوراً ليبدأ العمل، فينذر الناس ويعلّمهم عبادة الله وحده وترك الأصنام. لقد انتهى وقت الراحة وبدأ وقت بناء الأمة.
قال تعالى يأمر نبيه بالعمل: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ﴾.
ما العمل المهم الذي تؤجّله وأنت تقدر أن تقوم به اليوم؟

One day as the Prophet (pbuh) was walking, he heard a voice from the sky. He looked up and saw Jibril between the sky and the earth. He hurried home saying: “Cover me, cover me!” And while he lay covered, Jibril came down with verses commanding him to rise, to leave his rest, and to call people to worship Allah alone.
When there is important work to do, we leave our comfort and get up.
One day as the Prophet (pbuh) was walking, he heard a voice from the sky. He raised his head and saw the angel Jibril seated on a great throne between the sky and the earth. Overwhelmed by the majesty of it, he hurried home trembling and said: “Cover me, cover me,” meaning wrap me in garments. And while he lay covered in his bed, Jibril came down with powerful verses commanding him to leave the blanket and the rest, to rise at once and begin the work: to warn the people and teach them to worship Allah alone and leave the idols. The time for rest was over, and the time to build a nation had begun.
Allah commands him to work: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ﴾ — “O you wrapped in garments, arise and warn.”
