كان خبّاب رضي الله عنه يشكو إلى النبي ﷺ شدّة ما يلقون في مكة، فقال له: «والله ليُتمّنّ الله هذا الأمر حتى يسير الراكب من صنعاء إلى حضرموت لا يخاف إلا الله والذئب على غنمه». وبعد سنوات صار ذلك واقعاً يراه الناس.
الوطن الآمن هو الذي يمشي فيه الضعيف مطمئنّاً.
في مكة، حين كان التعذيب على أشدّه، جاء خبّاب بن الأرتّ رضي الله عنه إلى النبي ﷺ وهو متوسّد بردته في ظلّ الكعبة يشكو ويقول: ألا تستنصر لنا؟ ألا تدعو لنا؟ فقال له النبي ﷺ بعد أن ذكّره بمن كان قبلهم: «والله ليُتمّنّ الله هذا الأمر حتى يسير الراكب من صنعاء إلى حضرموت لا يخاف إلا الله والذئب على غنمه، ولكنكم تستعجلون». وبعد سنوات صار هذا الكلام أمراً يراه الناس بأعينهم: قبائل تدخل في الأمر، وطرق تُؤمَن، وأسواق تقوم على الأمانة، ومجتمع يتعلّم في مسجده. ولمّا اكتمل هذا البناء، أعلن النبي ﷺ عزمه على الحجّ، ليلقى الأمة كلها في مكان واحد ويقول لها ما يريد أن تحفظه بعده.
قال تعالى: ﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ﴾.
إيه اللي يخلّي مكاناً «آمناً» في رأيك؟ الأسوار ولا الناس؟

In Mecca, Khabbab complained to the Prophet ﷺ about how hard the persecution was, and he answered: “By Allah, Allah will complete this matter until a rider goes from Sana'a to Hadramawt fearing nothing but Allah, and the wolf for his sheep.” Years later, people watched it happen.
A country is safe when the weakest person in it can walk without fear.
In Mecca, when the torture was at its worst, Khabbab ibn al-Aratt came to the Prophet ﷺ — who was resting on his cloak in the shade of the Kaaba — and said: will you not ask for help for us? Will you not pray for us? After reminding him of those who had come before, the Prophet ﷺ said: “By Allah, Allah will complete this matter until a rider travels from Sana'a to Hadramawt fearing nothing but Allah, and the wolf for his sheep — but you are impatient.” Years later that sentence became something people could see: tribes joining, roads made safe, markets built on honesty, a community learning in its mosque. And when that was built, the Prophet ﷺ announced that he would make the pilgrimage — to meet the whole community in one place, and tell it what he wanted it to keep after him.
Allah says: ﴿أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ﴾ — “those are the ones who have security, and they are rightly guided.”
