اشتدّت الحمّى على النبي ﷺ حتى كان يُوعك وعكاً شديداً. ومع ذلك ظلّ يطوف على بيوت زوجاته كعادته في العدل. فلما ثقل عليه المشي جعل يسأل: «أين أنا غداً؟ أين أنا غداً؟» ففهمن أنه يريد بيت عائشة رضي الله عنها، فأذنّ له أن يكون حيث شاء.
العدل يُحفظ حتى في أضعف الأوقات.
بعد رجوعه من الحجّ بدأ المرض. اشتدّت عليه الحمّى حتى قالت عائشة رضي الله عنها: ما رأيت رجلاً أشدّ عليه الوجع من رسول الله ﷺ. ومع ذلك لم يترك ما كان يفعله من العدل بين زوجاته: كان يطوف على بيوتهنّ كل يوم كعادته. فلما اشتدّ به الأمر وثقل عليه أن ينتقل، جعل يسأل: «أين أنا غداً؟ أين أنا غداً؟» — يريد يوم عائشة. ففهمن مراده، فأذنّ له جميعاً أن يكون حيث شاء من غير أن يُلزم نفسه بالدور. فانتقل إلى حجرة عائشة رضي الله عنها يمشي بين رجلين تخطّ قدماه الأرض من الضعف. لم يطلب لنفسه استثناءً حتى استأذن، وهو في أشدّ ما يكون من المرض.
قال تعالى: ﴿وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً﴾.
لما بتتعب أو بتزهق، بتفضل عادل مع اللي حواليك ولا بتنسى؟

The fever grew severe on the Prophet ﷺ, and still he kept going round the houses of his wives as he always did, out of fairness. When walking became too hard he began to ask: “Where am I tomorrow? Where am I tomorrow?” They understood that he wanted Aishah's house, and they gave him leave to be wherever he wished.
Fairness is kept even at your weakest.
After he returned from the pilgrimage the illness began. The fever became so severe that Aishah said: I never saw anyone in more pain than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Even so he did not abandon his habit of fairness between his wives: he went round their houses each day as he always had. When it grew too heavy for him to move, he began asking: “Where am I tomorrow? Where am I tomorrow?” — meaning Aishah's day. They understood what he wanted, and all of them gave him leave to stay wherever he wished, without holding him to the turn. So he moved to Aishah's room, walking between two men, his feet dragging on the ground from weakness. He did not take an exception for himself until he had asked for it — and this at the worst of his illness.
Allah says: ﴿وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً﴾ — “and He placed between you affection and mercy.”
