دخل النبي ﷺ مكة مطأطئ الرأس على راحلته حتى كاد يمسّ الرحل، تواضعاً لله. وقال رجل: اليوم يوم الملحمة! فردّ عليه النبي ﷺ: «اليوم يوم المرحمة». ثم طاف بالبيت وحوله ثلاثمائة وستون صنماً، فجعل يطعنها بعود في يده حتى سقطت، وهو يقول: ﴿جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ﴾.
النصر الحقيقي يزيدك تواضعاً لا كِبراً.
دخل النبي ﷺ مكة التي أخرجته وآذته، لا رافعاً رأسه بالنصر، بل مطأطئاً على راحلته حتى كاد رأسه يمسّ الرحل، شكراً لله وتواضعاً له. وأمّن الناس فقال: «من دخل دار أبي سفيان فهو آمن، ومن أغلق عليه بابه فهو آمن، ومن دخل المسجد الحرام فهو آمن». فلما قال أحد قادته: اليوم يوم الملحمة! ردّ عليه النبي ﷺ وأخذ الراية منه وقال: «اليوم يوم المرحمة». ثم قصد الكعبة وحولها ثلاثمائة وستون صنماً، فجعل يطعنها بعود كان في يده وهي تتساقط، وهو يتلو: ﴿وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ﴾، حتى عاد البيت إلى ما بناه عليه إبراهيم عليه السلام: عبادة الله وحده.
قال تعالى: ﴿وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۚ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا﴾.

The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca with his head bowed low over his mount, almost touching the saddle, in humility before Allah. A man called out: “Today is a day of slaughter!” The Prophet ﷺ answered him: “Today is a day of mercy.” Then he went round the House, with three hundred and sixty idols about it, striking them with a stick in his hand until they fell, reciting: “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished.”
Real victory makes you humbler, not prouder.
The Prophet ﷺ entered the city that had driven him out and harmed him — not with his head raised in triumph, but bowed over his mount until it almost touched the saddle, in thanks to Allah and humility before Him. He gave the city safety: “Whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan is safe, whoever shuts his own door is safe, and whoever enters the Sacred Mosque is safe.” When one of his commanders said, “Today is a day of slaughter!”, the Prophet ﷺ took the banner from him and said: “Today is a day of mercy.” Then he went to the Kaaba, with three hundred and sixty idols standing around it, and struck them one after another with the stick in his hand as they fell, reciting, “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished” — until the House returned to what Ibrahim had built it for: the worship of Allah alone.
Allah says: ﴿إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا﴾ — “falsehood is bound to vanish.”
