وقف المشركون عاجزين أمام الخندق شهراً، واشتدّ البرد والخوف. فدعا النبي ﷺ ربه، فأرسل الله عليهم ريحاً شديدة البرد قلعت خيامهم وأطفأت نيرانهم وكفأت قدورهم، فرحلوا في الليل. وأصبح المسلمون فلم يجدوا أحداً.
الله يغيّر أصعب المواقف من غير أن يُرفع سيف.
وقف جيش الأحزاب أمام الخندق لا يستطيعون عبوره بخيلهم، وطال الحصار قرابة شهر، واشتدّ البرد والجوع والخوف على من في المدينة. فقام النبي ﷺ يدعو ربه أن ينصر المسلمين ويكفيهم شرّهم. فأرسل الله على معسكر الأحزاب ريحاً شديدة البرد في ليلة مظلمة، فقلعت خيامهم، وأطفأت نيرانهم، وكفأت قدورهم، وألقت في قلوبهم الرعب. فأمر قائدهم بالرحيل من ليلته. وأصبح المسلمون فإذا الأرض خالية، ونصرهم الله بغير قتال، وانفضّ ذلك الحلف فلم يجتمع بعدها.
قال تعالى: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَاءَتْكُمْ جُنُودٌ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا وَجُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا﴾.
حين يطول الانتظار في أمر صعب، ما الذي يعينك على الصبر؟

The idolaters stood helpless at the trench for a month, and the cold and the fear grew hard. The Prophet ﷺ prayed to his Lord, and Allah sent a bitterly cold wind that tore up their tents, put out their fires and overturned their pots — and they left in the night. The Muslims woke to find the plain empty.
Allah can turn the hardest situation without a sword being raised.
The army of the Confederates stood before the trench, unable to cross it with their horses, and the siege dragged on for close to a month, with cold and hunger and fear pressing on those inside the city. The Prophet ﷺ stood praying to his Lord to give the Muslims victory and spare them. Allah sent upon the camp of the Confederates a bitterly cold wind on a dark night: it tore up their tents, put out their fires, overturned their cooking pots and filled their hearts with dread. Their commander ordered them to leave that same night. The Muslims woke to an empty plain — victory without a battle — and that alliance broke apart and never gathered again.
Allah says: ﴿فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا وَجُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا﴾ — “We sent against them a wind, and armies you did not see.”
