صعد النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر جبلاً وعراً حتى بلغا غاراً مظلماً يُسمّى غار ثور. فطلب أبو بكر أن يدخل هو أولاً ليطمئنّ على المكان، وجعل يسدّ الشقوق بقطع من ثوبه، ثم نام النبي ﷺ ورأسه في حجره. فلُدغ أبو بكر ولم يتحرّك حتى لا يوقظه.
الصديق الحق يتحمّل الأذى عن صاحبه.
صعد النبي ﷺ وصاحبه أبو بكر رضي الله عنه جبلاً وعراً في طريق غير مسلوك حتى بلغا غاراً مظلماً في أعلاه يُسمّى غار ثور. فطلب أبو بكر أن يدخل هو أولاً قبل النبي ﷺ ليطمئنّ على المكان، فدخل في الظلام وجعل يسدّ ما وجده من شقوق وجحور بقطع يمزّقها من ثوبه، حتى نفد ما معه. ثم نام النبي ﷺ ورأسه الشريف في حجره من شدّة التعب. فأصابه من إحدى الفتحات ما آلمه ألماً شديداً، فما حرّك عضواً ولا صاح، حتى لا يوقظ النبي ﷺ من نومه، وسقطت دمعته من الألم. فاستيقظ النبي ﷺ ودعا له.
قال تعالى في وصف الصادقين: ﴿وَالَّذِي جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ﴾.
ما الشيء الصغير الذي تستطيع أن تتحمّله اليوم لتريح صديقاً أو أخاً لك؟

The Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr climbed a rugged mountain to a dark cave called Cave Thawr. Abu Bakr asked to go in first to check the place, and began stopping up the cracks with pieces torn from his own clothes. Then the Prophet ﷺ slept with his head in Abu Bakr's lap — and when something stung him, Abu Bakr did not move, so as not to wake him.
A true friend takes the hurt so his companion does not have to.
The Prophet ﷺ and his companion Abu Bakr climbed a rugged mountain by an untravelled path to a dark cave near its top, called Cave Thawr. Abu Bakr asked to go in ahead of the Prophet ﷺ to make the place safe. He went into the dark and began stopping up every crack and hole he found with pieces torn from his own clothes, until he had nothing left to tear. Then the Prophet ﷺ slept, his blessed head in Abu Bakr's lap, worn out from the journey. Something stung Abu Bakr from one of the openings and hurt him badly — and he did not move a limb or make a sound, so as not to wake the Prophet ﷺ, until a tear fell from the pain. The Prophet ﷺ woke, and prayed for him.
Allah says of the truthful: ﴿وَالَّذِي جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ﴾ — “the one who brought the truth and believed in it.”
