حان وقت الصلاة والناس ينتظرون في المسجد. حاول النبي ﷺ أن يقوم فأُغمي عليه، ثم أفاق فحاول فأُغمي عليه. فقال: «مُروا أبا بكر فليصلِّ بالناس». فقالت عائشة رضي الله عنها: إن أبا بكر رجل رقيق إذا قرأ غلبه البكاء. فأعادها ﷺ ثلاثاً.
الصلاة لا تُترك، ويُقدَّم لها أهلها.
اشتدّ المرض حتى صار النبي ﷺ لا يقوى على الخروج. وحان وقت الصلاة والمسلمون ينتظرونه في المسجد كعادتهم. فسأل: «أصلّى الناس؟» قالوا: لا، هم ينتظرونك يا رسول الله. فأمر بماء فاغتسل ليخفّ عنه، ثم ذهب ليقوم فأُغمي عليه؛ ثم أفاق فسأل السؤال نفسه ففعل مثل ذلك، ثلاث مرات. فلما علم أنه لا يستطيع قال: «مُروا أبا بكر فليصلِّ بالناس». فقالت عائشة رضي الله عنها — وهي تخشى أن يتشاءم الناس بمقام أبيها مقامه —: إن أبا بكر رجل رقيق، إذا قرأ القرآن غلبه البكاء. فأعاد ﷺ الأمر وأعادت، حتى قال: «مُروها فلتأمر أبا بكر، فليصلِّ بالناس؛ إنكنّ صواحب يوسف». فتقدّم أبو بكر رضي الله عنه فصلّى بالناس أياماً والنبي ﷺ في حجرته.
قال تعالى: ﴿حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَىٰ وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ﴾.
فيه حاجة بتعملها كل يوم مهما كنت تعبان؟ إيه هي؟

The time for prayer came and the people were waiting in the mosque. The Prophet ﷺ tried to rise and fainted; he came round, tried again, and fainted again. So he said: “Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.” Aishah said: Abu Bakr is a tender man — when he recites, weeping overcomes him. He repeated the instruction three times.
The prayer is not abandoned, and the right person is put in front of it.
The illness grew until the Prophet ﷺ could not go out. The time for prayer came and the Muslims were waiting for him in the mosque as always. He asked: “Have the people prayed?” They said: no, they are waiting for you, Messenger of Allah. He asked for water and washed to lighten the fever, then went to stand and fainted; he came round, asked the same question, and the same happened — three times. When he knew he could not, he said: “Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.” Aishah — afraid people would think ill of her father standing in his place — said: Abu Bakr is a tender man; when he recites the Quran, weeping overcomes him. He gave the instruction again, and she repeated hers, until he said: “Tell her to tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer.” So Abu Bakr went forward and led the people for days while the Prophet ﷺ was in his room.
Allah says: ﴿حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ﴾ — “Guard the prayers carefully.”
