كان للنبي ﷺ صحابة يكتبون القرآن فور نزوله، يُسمَّون «كُتّاب الوحي»، ومن أشهرهم الصحابي الشاب زيد بن ثابت.

The scribes of the revelation

The Prophet ﷺ had companions who wrote the Quran down the moment it came — the scribes of the revelation. Among the best known was a young man named Zaid ibn Thabit.

The writing down of revelation as it came, and Zayd ibn Thabit's part in it, is in al-Bukhari.
