A making after a making

The Quran describes the making of a human being in the womb one stage after another: a drop, then a clinging form, then a lump, then bones clothed in flesh — in an order the Quran itself sets out.

How do we know this?

The Quran, Surah Al-Mu'minun: 12-14

The stages and their order are the verses' own words. The card used to say the Quran anticipated scientists by centuries — an interpretive claim scholars differ over and one that shifts as theories do — so the card now says only what the verse itself says.
