What Comes After Death?

I do good today, and I hope to meet Allah with His mercy.

A seed is buried in the soil, and then a new plant comes out of it by Allah's permission. A person sleeps at night, and wakes in the morning. From these we learn something close to it: death is not the end of everything. After it comes the raising up and the reckoning before Allah. So we do not waste our days; we fill them with faith and good deeds, and we hope for Allah's wide mercy.

Believing in the Last Day makes a Muslim care about what he does, and seek Allah's mercy rather than despair.

Hope, and doing good

Why do you think believing in the raising up helps us do good today?
