Kindness to Animals

I am gentle with animals, because they are Allah's creation.

In the park a child saw a small cat coming near the water, and stopped his friend from throwing a stone at it. He told him: this is one of Allah's creatures, we do not hurt it. Kindness to animals means not striking them, not shutting them in without need, and giving them water or food — with your family's permission — when they need it. Faith makes a hand gentle even with the weakest of creatures.

The Prophet ﷺ told us there is reward in showing kindness to any living creature.

Gentleness

Why do you think faith teaches us to be merciful to a weak animal?
