I believe in Allah alone, and I am at peace that He is my Lord and my Creator.
The first pillar of faith is to believe in Allah. We believe that He exists, that He is One, that He created everything, and that He alone deserves worship. We do not see Him in this life, but we see the traces of His creation, we hear His words in the Quran, and we know His names and attributes as they came, without asking how. And when my heart says “I believe in Allah”, I feel that I have a generous Lord to return to.
The hadith of Jibril gathered the pillars of faith into one clear lesson for the whole community.
Why do you think faith begins with knowing Allah and His oneness?
