أعرف نعمة الله، فأشكره ولا أبطر.
على المائدة طعام، وفي الكوب ماء، وفي البيت أسرة تسأل عنكم. هذه ليست أشياء عادية نمرّ عليها بلا انتباه؛ إنها من رزق الله ونِعَمه. الله هو الرزاق، يرزق الإنسان والحيوان والطير، ويعطي بحكمة ورحمة. فإذا أكلت قلت الحمد لله، وإذا رأيت نعمة شاركت منها الخير.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُسورة الذاريات: ٥٨
الشكر يكون بالقلب واللسان والعمل، وليس بكلمة واحدة فقط.

I know Allah's blessing, so I thank Him and never grow careless with it.
There is food on the table, water in the cup, and a family at home who asks after you. These are not ordinary things to walk past without noticing; they are part of what Allah provides. Allah is the Provider: He provides for people, for animals and for birds, and He gives with wisdom and mercy. So when I eat I say praise be to Allah, and when I see a blessing I share some of its good.
Gratitude is with the heart, the tongue and the hands — not one word alone.
