أنا نعمة من نِعَم الله، فأشكره وأتأمّل صنعه.
انظروا إلى أيديكم الصغيرة، وإلى عيونكم التي تقرأ، وإلى قلوبكم التي تحب! من خلق هذا كله بإحكام؟ الله تعالى خلقنا وخلق السماء والأرض والنبات والحيوان، وجعل حولنا نعمًا كثيرة لا نحصيها. عندما أتأمل نفسي وما حولي، لا أتعالى ولا أنسى، بل أقول: الحمد لله الذي خلقني وأكرمني.
يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَسورة الانفطار: ٦–٨
التأمّل في خلق الله عبادة قلبية تقرّب المؤمن من الشكر.
لماذا في رأيكم يساعدنا النظر في خلق أنفسنا على شكر الله؟

I am one of Allah's blessings, so I thank Him and think about what He made.
Look at your small hands, and at your eyes that are reading, and at your heart that loves! Who made all of this so carefully? Allah created us, and created the sky and the earth and the plants and the animals, and placed around us more blessings than we could count. When I think about myself and about what is around me, I do not become proud and I do not forget — I say: praise be to Allah, who created me and honoured me.
Reflecting on Allah's creation is an act of worship of the heart, and it brings a believer closer to gratitude.
